They say that one of the most dangerous places on Earth is your own bed, and if the state of my back this morning is anything to go by, they are right! I was fine when I went to bed, but now I’m locked solid and waiting for a mega dose of painkillers to kick in.
As today is my friend David’s mother’s funeral and I have about 4 hours of driving to do, I hope the ibuprofen starts working soon.
Goodness knows what I must have done, but I really don’t want to do it again!

Do you like blueberry muffins? So do I. I like them rather more than is probably good for me.
I like my blueberry muffins big, packed with fresh fruit and served up steaming hot from the oven and the only way to get that is to make my own. I’ve tried lots of recipes but the best one of all is one I have adapted to just the way I like them!
I posted my own personal giant blueberry muffin recipe on the Kickstart blog yesterday, along with a photograph of my latest batch. It is really simple and the muffins come out delicious every time.

There are times when fate just keeps on nudging you until you take notice and act.
I was in a bookstore in London on Friday, just before the Internet marketer’s London Lunch that I hosted, and saw a new (to me) paperback with a garish cover. It was called ‘How to Make a Fortune on the Internet’ and was priced at £7.99 ($16). Cheap enough, but I was in a hurry - and I have a generally poor opinion of shop-bought Internet marketing books (they tend to be out of date before they even hit the bookshelves) - so I passed it by without even flicking the pages.
Fast forward to Sunday lunchtime and I was idly wandering around the local shopping mall while Delia was buying winter coats for the kids.
I popped in to a remainder book store, not really expecting to see anything of interest, and what was right there in front of me but that exact same paperback book!
Only here it had a sticker on the front reducing the price from £7.99 to £2.99 ($6). Cheap as chips, as they rather irritatingly say.
I still expected it to be out-dated rehashed rubbish written by someone with no clue about how IM really works, but I figured for the money it would be a good accompaniment to a cup of coffee.
And I was very pleasantly surprised.
It is not out-dated at all. In fact, even though it is remaindered already, it was only published this year.
The author, Ajay Ahuja, turns out to be very experienced and knowledgeable. And a pretty good communicator too.
If you happen to see this little paperback in a remainder bin near you, grab it as fast as you can. When you consider that many ebooks don’t offer nearly as much good solid information and often cost ten times the price, it must be one of the bargains of the year.
Clearly fate knew more than I did and kept on prodding until I took notice.

On the same note, a couple of months ago I was in a burger joint at a busy London station. There was only one table left and I headed for it - right at the same instant as another man. We sat down simultaneously and then almost fell off our chairs again.
The man was an old friend who I’d lost contact with almost 5 years before, and who, coincidentally, I’d only been talking to Delia about the day before!
It was a great meeting and we exchanged cards - and even had lunch together a few weeks later.
Since then, time passes and we haven’t been in contact.
On Monday last I had a meeting with a guy in a big London advertising agency. When the meeting finished I walked back to the reception area and who should be standing there waiting to see someone? None other than my old friend James!
Spooky.
I think that fate is definitely telling us that we need to explore why we keep being put in each other’s paths.

Have you visited Neil Shearing’s site yet to see about his new video course on how to create a passive income online?
Passive income is that wonderful idea that you put in the work once, and then keep on getting paid for it over and over again. Some people also call it residual income. By goodness, once you start to get passive income flowing you’ll never look back!
I took a while to understand the value of it, but now that I have, I’m a real evangelist.
Neil has created a set of 14 videos that explain what passive income is, why it is so important (I wish he’d made that particular video years ago) and a wide variety of different ways that you can build passive income streams for yourself.
Everyone who is sensible knows that despite the hype, Internet marketing takes work. It does. Sometimes a lot of work. But how much better is it to put in that work to create a flow of income that will just keep on coming long after your efforts have stopped? That’s exactly what Neil teaches you.
And he does so without any hype, without over-excited ra-ra and without any techno-babble. It is easy to watch, simple to understand and a piece of cake to put into action.
Passive Cashflow Secrets is surprisingly inexpensive. But if you pre-order your copy (it launches in just 2 days time) you can even get a discount on that.

An Inspirational Thought
_____________________________________________________
So much in our lives never gets done.
We think and plan, we dream and scheme, we set goals and plot strategies, but in the end, most of those determined, positive thoughts remain as thoughts.
Why is this?
The main reason is that we fail to take one little step beyond the construction of the idea.
We fail to make a decision.
Decisions are like electric light switches. They are either on or off. You can’t make half a decision.
So when we fill our minds up with plans and goals and targets, we need to attach a light switch to each one - a decision process. We have to set a time when the idea will stop being a vague thought and start being a concrete reality.
Only by deciding to flip that switch from off to on can you achieve anything.
What decisions have you been putting off? Can you make any of them today? Right now?
How about it? Are you ready to flip your switch to success?

Today’s Power Thought
_______________________________________________________
We talk a lot about success. Kickstart is, after all, mostly concerned with helping you to find practical strategies to be more successful in everything that you do.
Nearly all of the attributes of success that we discuss are those that you project onto the outside world - things that you need to do and ways that you should behave.
But there is another aspect of success that is, if anything, even more vital. And it is something that you can start to do right now. You don’t need any tools and you don’t need any time.
What you have to do is to get into a habit of telling yourself that you are a success.
Success starts inside of you. So does failure.
It is the little voice that questions your thoughts and ridicules your motives. The wild demon inside you (and every one of us) that is constantly looking to start an argument.
Well, if wild horses can be tamed, so can wild demons!
The louder you think about your success, the quieter your wild demon will become. It only pick fights when it knows it can win, so learn to shout it down (inside your head of course - shouting at your demon in a real voice will get you to someplace else real fast!)
The more you think positively about how successful you are the faster the habit will be ingrained.
Start by dwelling on the real successes in your life. To use a horrible modern expression, ‘big yourself up’ over every success and victory that you can bring to mind.
Them move on to the things that you anticipate being successful. See them in your mind as already having been achieved. Bask in the glory and enjoy the feeling of success.
When that feels good, move up to things that are still plans and dreams. Feel the success. Taste victory before you even begin.
Once that habit is firmly fixed in your mind you will be amazed at what you can achieve. Actually, by then you won’t be amazed at all. Success will be radiating out of your very core and affecting everything that you touch.
And all this takes no time, no money, and no real effort. You don’t have to buy anything, learn anything or consult with anyone.
All you need do is turn a switch in your head and your self esteem, self image and self-actualized success will start to flow.
So do you think you can start to do that today?

Fascinating Facts

In sport, when one person or team wins easily it is called a ‘walkover’.
The expression comes from horse racing. When a horse is the only runner in a race, it doesn’t need to run - just has to walk over the course to win.
