Commission Blueprint Review
What a fascinating day I’ve had so far! The reason that Kickstart
is a bit delayed today is because I’ve been glued to my monitor
watching the new Commission Blueprint videos from Tim Godfrey and
Steven Clayton.
I bought them over the weekend and have been wrapped up in them
all day.
The first question you may have is ‘who are Steven Clayton and
Tim Godfrey?’
Steven is American and Tim is from the UK, and together they have
perfected a system for using Google AdWords to promote ClickBank
products. Neither of them are big seminar or conference goers, so
they are not well known on ‘the circuit’ (although I’m delighted
to say that Tim has booked to come to the London Lunch on Friday)
but for all that, they are great teachers!
The 14 videos – using a combination of Steven talking to camera,
presentation slides and camtasia-like screen capture are well
made and cover everything in just the right level of detail. I’ve
thoroughly enjoyed watching them and have learned a lot in the
process.
As to the ‘level’ that Commission Blueprint is aimed at, I would
say that it may be a little too advanced in places for complete
beginners to Internet marketing in general and pay-per-click in
particular, but that most advance beginners and intermediates
will get a lot of useful insights and a very workable business
plan.
What do you get in the package?
For starters there are 14 videos to watch. Don’t be put off
though – they are easy to view and are relatively short. The
shortest is just over 7 minutes and the longest is about 24
minutes. A few of them are split into several parts, so in total
it works out to 18 individual videos.
On top of that you get three PDF manuals – one on opt-in pages,
one on pre-sell pages and one on review pages. They are packed
with really useful and usable information that you will need to
make this system work.
Then there is a 42-page document that is really a ‘notes’ sheet
for each of the videos – bullet pointing each of the main points.
I found this a very useful tool after I’d watched the videos as
I’m generally more comfortable with the written word than with
video learning.
Next you get a set of really well-produced templates for each of
the different types of pages that are mentioned in the course.
These templates are proven to work in real life (they are the
same ones that Steve and Tim use themselves) and are very
professional indeed.
You also get a list of resources – some that you can go and get
from other sites, and some, like bespoke spreadsheets that you
download from Commission Blueprint.
Finally, there are several unadvertised bonuses that are real
products that can make your life much easier.
All in all, it is a very comprehensive package that sets out to
overdeliver – and succeeds very well!
More importantly, it won’t leave you guessing – everything is
covered.
I’ve done some pay-per-click advertising for affiliate products
before and have had great success as well as dismal failures.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have the knowledge to use accurate
tracking or the skill to set up my campaigns in the right way.
That’s stuff that Commission Blueprint teaches and I know that
when I venture into this area of affiliate marketing again (very
soon, now that I’ve been taught the ‘right’ way) I’ll be able to
maximise on my success and quickly identify my failures to ensure
much enhanced profitability.
I’ve often talked about the power of affiliate marketing, but
have tended to focus on the kind that I’m most familiar with -
marketing to lists. The Commission Blueprint system doesn’t need
you to have a list in any way. It is purely about buying traffic
and making more money from that traffic than you spend to get it.
Here are two guys who made more than half a million dollars in
just seven months telling you EXACTLY how they did it and how you
can do it too.
Highly recommended.

We deposited our daughter at Portsmouth University on Saturday
and had a tearful farewell as she embarks on an exciting new
phase in her life.
The tears were more from Delia and I than from Lauren – she seems
to have taken to it like a duck to water! In fact I just spoke
with her on Skype and she is having a great time meeting new
people and settling in.
Our home does feel empty now though. With Hannah away on
vacation, it is just three of us rattling round in our big old
house now.
Speaking of Skype, I still AMAzed at what a wonderful thing it
is! With a webcam on either end, we now have a video phone on
each of our computers that can connect to Lauren (and anyone else
we know who has Skype) absolutely free.
To people of Delia and my ages, it is nothing short of science
fiction!

My Stomping the Search Engines DVDs arrived today, along with the
first edition of the Net Effect magazine.
It has take a long time to get to me here in the wilderness, but
first impressions are that it was worth the wait.
I’ll let you know more when I’ve studied it all.

We went to see the new Ben Stiller movie, Tropic Thunder last
night.
Hmmm. I sort of enjoyed it, although I felt it was unnecessarily
crude in places.
Delia and our daughter Charlotte absolutely hated it.
I could see the humor in parts of it, but I concede that it was,
at times, rather forced.
It was, however, an interesting ensemble cast, and the surprise
appearance of Tom Cruise had me fooled until the very end!
Overall, not one to rush to see. Wait for the DVD.

Isn’t it funny how our negative expectations so often come true.
As Clint Eastwood said, “If you think it’s going to rain, it
will.”
People on the west coast of Scotland have a saying: “If you can’t
see the islands, it is raining and if you can see them, it is
going to rain soon.”
It seems to be the human way to look on the dark side and expect
the worst. Perhaps it stems from the idea that if you expect to
be disappointed, you never are.
I remember once someone said ‘if I asked you to tell yourself
every morning that you are suffering from a serious illness,
would you do it?’ The answer, of course, was no because it might
come true.
‘Aha,’ came the response, ’so why won’t you tell yourself every
morning that you are bursting with health and vitality? Surely if
telling yourself bad things can make them come true, so too can
telling yourself good things?’
Henry Ford said, “Think you can, think you can’t; either way
you’ll be right.”
You and I are exactly what we think we are, good, bad or
indifferent. So why should we settle for the bad or indifferent?
I don’t know about you, but I told myself this morning that I’m
feeling great, I’m full of energy, I’m a huge success and that
wonderful opportunities are lying at my feet ready for me to take
full advantage of.
I’ve got to tell you, its a great way to start your day.

New York’s famous Wall Street was named after a wall erected by
Dutch colonists at that location in 1653. It was 50 meters long
