London Lunch
I found organizing last Friday’s London Lunch particularly
stressful. Perhaps it was the record number of people who
attended, or perhaps it was the fact that we changed location and
I had no idea how that would turn out.
Whatever it was, the adrenaline was pumping through my veins by
Friday lunchtime.
I needn’t have been worried. The new place was really excellent.
The food was great, the service was superb and the ambiance was
terrific. I had absolutely no complaints and the entire lunch
(which carried on into the bar until after 8.30pm) was a huge
success.
But much more important than the location or the food, the
company was brilliant. Everyone had a good time and mixed and
mingled with as many folks as possible. We had a great crowd and
I know a lot of good information was exchanged, and JVs were
discussed.
Who knows what will come out of this London Lunch, but I know
whatever does, it will be good!
I’m going to start taking bookings for the next one very soon -
put Friday 28th November in your diary and I’ll confirm it to you
as soon as I can.

Jon Andersen
I wrote the other day about the need to consider other methods of
distribution for our information products - talking specifically
about creating ebooks in a format that can easily be read in the
new gadgets like Sony Reader or AMAzon Kindle.
If you missed it, you can read that article at
http://imkickstart.com/course/making-money-online/writing-ebooks-for-the-sony-reader/
Well, Kickstart reader Jon Andersen has gone a step further and
is writing a series of articles about how to turn an ebook into a
real paper-and-ink book for sale in bookstores.
His series is called ‘From Ebook to Paperback in 16 Days’ and is
fascinating to read.
Jon and his wife are real-world publishers who have several
paperbacks out there in bookstores already, so he knows what he
is talking about.
Now, you may think that this is leading up to a sales
recommendation, but you’d be wrong! Jon is very generously
publishing his 16-part series, one day at a time on the Kickstart
Forum.
He may well turn it into an information product at the end, but
meanwhile we get the benefit of reading it as he tackles the
process ‘live’. And it won’t cost you or I a cent.
Jon’s posts are each in a thread of their own here:
http://kickstarttodayforum.com/viewforum.php?f=3
Bookmark it and check back daily so you can watch as this series
builds up to a really useful resource for us all.
Thanks Jon!

Special offer on Keyword LSI Spy
A lot of people have been talking to me lately about my Keyword
LSI Spy program - the software that finds the words that the
search engines REALLY want to see on your websites and in your
articles. The spectrum of different people who tell me that find
Keyword LSI Spy invaluable ranges from writers to website
designers to SEO experts.
Briefly, what the script does is allows you to input any keyword
or phrase and then find out the most commonly used words on the
websites that the search engines rank highest.
You find words that you may never think of for yourself, but that
the SEs seems to expect to see in ‘authority’ writing for that
keyword or phrase.
You can read all about the script - and even take a test drive of
it - at http://www.keywordlsispy.com … but please don’t buy it
there.
The cost of the script is currently $67, but after so many people
telling me that I’m selling it way too cheaply (and a very close
competitor launching at nearly 3 times the price) I’ve come to
accept that they are right.
Accordingly, a couple of things are currently happening.
First, I’m revising the script to add more features and make some
of the existing ones run even better, and second, I will be
increasing the price to at least $97 as soon as the upgrades are
done.
But right now, I’m making a crazy Kickstart offer.
You can buy Keyword LSI Spy direct from me for just $47 - and you
will receive any future upgrades at no extra cost as soon as they
are ready.
Take the test drive at http://www.keywordlsispy.com but instead
of buying it there for $67, send me $47 by PayPal to
m.avis@ntlworld.com and I’ll email you the download details.
I’m concentrating on the programming of the upgrade this week, so
this offer won’t last for very long.
By the way - if you are one of the hundreds of people who already
own Keyword LSI Spy, you will get an email with details of the
upgrade as soon as it is ready. There is no need to contact me
specially.
And if you ARE a current user of KLS and have any ideas or
suggestions for new features, now would be a great time to let me
know.

Huffing and Puffing
Kids love to ask their dads questions, and dads love to appear to
be cleverer than we are by answering them. But my youngest asked
me a question yesterday that had me stumped. Oh, I made up
something, but have no idea if I was right or wrong!
Charlotte asked: “Daddy, why is it that when I’m cold I breath on
my hands to warm them up, but when I’ve touched something hot, I
blow on them to cool them down? Why is my breath hot and cold at
the same time?”
I could only blather something about the velocity of the air flow
and hope that my pseudo-science satisfied her. It did, but now
I’m curious too.
Specifically, if you breath on your hand open-mouthed, your
breath feels warm, but if you purse your lips - even if you blow
very gently, it feels cold. Yet the air all comes from the same
warm place.
Anybody got a definitive answer?

It was good to meet Tim Godfrey at the lunch on Friday. I’m
delighted he could come.
Tim is the co-creator of the recent blockbuster Internet
marketing product launch - Commission Blueprint, but far from
being a brash, know-it-all guru, as some people who’ve just had a
smash hit can be, Tim turned out to be a quiet, self-effacing
chap who appeared to enjoy listening to what others had to say as
much as he did sharing his own knowledge.
(Apologies for that mega-long sentence!)
Ever since I mentioned Commission Blueprint last week in
Kickstart - read my review at
http://kickstartarchive.com/2008/09/29/kickstart-964-better-late-than-never/
- it has been steadily selling to Kickstart readers. Some early
feedback:
“Loved the videos - this guy really knows how to get his message
across.”
“I’ve done this kind of thing before but have never seen it
explained in such detail.”
“I can’t wait to dust off my AdWords account. Maybe I’ll make
money from PPC this time!
Tim and Steve made over half a million dollars in commission
selling ClickBank products - in just 7 months. Commission
Blueprint tells exactly how they did it and spells out how you
can grab your piece of this gigantic pie too.

The Quote of the Day
______________________________________________________
Smiling is infectious,
you catch it like the flu,
when someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling too.
I passed around the corner
and someone saw my grin…
when he smiled I realized
I passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile,
then I realized its worth.
A single smile, just like mine
could travel round the earth.
So if you feel a smile begin,
don’t leave it undetected…
let’s start an epidemic quick,
and get the world infected!

Today’s Power Thought
_____________________________________________________
A lot of time is wasted by otherwise intelligent people, just
waiting around.
We wait for the right time.
We wait for the perfect opportunity.
We wait for the optimum conditions.
Who decides when the time, opportunity and conditions are right,
anyway?
There is something born in every one of us that unshakably
believes that something better is coming along.
Today’s hard lesson is simply this: it isn’t.
Now is the right time.
Whatever you have in view today is the right opportunity.
The conditions will never get better.
Accept that and there is nothing to stop you from flying to the
stars. But carry on waiting and you will take your dreams to the
grave.
