Google-1st by Michael Green: The first review
Yesterday evening I spent a long time on the phone in a
fascinating conversation with a guy I have written about many
times before, and for whom I have the utmost respect.
His name is Michael Green, and you may remember that he is the
brains behind the phenomenally successful Money Tree Challenge
last year and the 20-20 Challenge the year before.
As one of the UK’s leading Internet marketers, when Michael gets
on the phone for a natter, I know that I’m going to be blown away
- and this time was no exception. Michael is soon to launch a new
product called Google-1st and he wanted to bring me up to speed
about it.
Let me start from the beginning.
We all know that having a top page #1 listing in Google drives
traffic to our websites. And traffic usually equates to money -
unless you are doing something wrong!
Well, how about having five of the top ten listings? Or seven? Or
even NINE of the listings on Google’s first page pointing to your
web properties?
Imagine the amount of free traffic that dominating the search
rankings like that will bring you. And then imagine the income
that you can make from that traffic!
I’ve always thought I do okay in getting my sites ranked. I
regularly see #2, 3, 4 or #5 listings. And benefit from the free
traffic accordingly. But a single listing on the first page of
Google is one thing – I’ve never dreamed of getting NINE.
But during our conversation Michael said to me…
“Martin, are you at your computer?”
I said yes.
“Type this into Google.” He gave me a three-word phrase that was
related to his offline business. It was a popular phrase for that
market – not particularly long-tail – and it returned over 30,000
competitive pages.
Then he said this…
“Look at listing number eight.”
I thought he was going to tell me that it was his one, but no…
“That’s the only natural search listing on the page that isn’t
leading to one of my pages.”
Before I could scoop my jaw up from my desk he threw four or five
other keywords at me and told me to check them in Google. Sure
enough, he dominated page one of Google for each of them. And in
some cases page two as well.
Finally, he gave me the absolute primary keyword that his offline
business (nothing to do with Internet marketing) aims for. This
keyword returns over 9 million competing web pages and there was
his business website at number #1, #3 and #5 on page one of
Google.
Michael told me that before he started using his special
Google-1st techniques he had never been on page one for that
keyword, but now, after barely five weeks he is dominating
Google.
That’s impressive and you can bet I quizzed him for chapter and
verse on how he did it.
As I said earlier, Michael is soon to launch Google-1st – a
detailed product that gives the exact methods he uses, in a step-
by-step, completely structured fashion. He has documented
everything he does on a spreadsheet and is describing each stage
in the process in crystal-clear detail.
If you’ve read The Money Tree Challenge, or the 20/20 Plan,
you’ll know that Michael is very good at explaining complex
processes clearly.
I’ve been very lucky and had the benefit of a long telephone
conversation where he explained most of the process to me one-on-
one and I can tell you – without giving it away – that the
process is easy. It is complex, in that there are a lot of
necessary steps that have to be linked together in the right way,
but each step is dead simple. Absolutely anyone can do it.
And best of all there is nothing extra needed. Absolutely all the
tools you need are either free, or you have them already.
I have to admit, my very first thought was that squeaky-clean
Michael Green had gone over to the dark side and donned a black
hat. At first I couldn’t see how such consistently extraordinary
results could be gained without using shady and dangerous black
hat methods. But I can categorically assure you that this entire
process is 100% white hat. It is completely and utterly above
board.
In fact, it is based on giving the search engines (yes, it works
for Yahoo and MSN too) precisely what they want. You feed them
exactly what they crave and they reward you with high rankings
and free traffic.
Sounds like a plan to me!
Now here is the deal. Michael traditionally pre-launches his
products and Google-1st is no exception. If you order it now,
before the official launch date, you’ll get a substantial
discount on the price. After launch the price will rise, but
right now you will get to lock in a great saving.
And after launch, numbers will be strictly limited so that those
of us who will be using the methods won’t be overwhelmed by too
much competition.
I’ve always said that SEO should stand for search engine
optimism, because most people who do it have no idea what works
or why. Now, Google-1st takes the optimism out of the search
engine optimization equation.

UPDATE: I’ve had lots of questions about Google-1st by email, so have created a special Google-1st Review FAQ page to supplement this review.
UPDATE #2: Last chance for Google 1st.
As you know, I’m very excited about the possibilities that
Michael Green’s Google-1st opens up for us. Getting even one site
onto the first page of Google’s results can bring a massive boost
in your traffic, but here, Michael shows how you can get multiple
page one listings at the same time.
Now, although I have had several long conversations about the
process with Michael, and have seen with my own eyes the
spectacular results he is achieving, I haven’t seen the actual
product yet. After all, it doesn’t launch officially until
Sunday.
So it was very exciting to get an email late last night with a
huge file attachment – the rough draft of the Google-1st
manuscript. All 122 pages of it (with, I’m told, more to come!)
Michael is still working on the release version, honing and
polishing the product to make sure it is as complete and
comprehensive – not to mention as easy to follow – as possible.
But he has been kind enough to give me an exclusive first look so
that I can tell you a bit more about what’s in store.
Even in this ‘rough’ state, what immediately struck me was that
it was more professional-looking than most products I’ve seen. It
is very well designed, cleanly laid out and the graphics – of
which there are many – are crisp and high quality.
But although the look and feel are important, the content is what
really matters and that is where Michael always excels.
Without going in to too much detail and giving away Michael’s
strategy, the explanations are very clear and totally
step-by-step. There is no room for confusion and the smallest
step is given as much importance as the biggest ones. You can
fail to follow it correctly.
You know what? I have just run a search on the entire manuscript
and am very pleased to be able to report that Michael hasn’t used
the word ‘just’ in the poisonous context at all. There are no
assumptions, only explanations.
How can you use the Google-1st process?
I’ve been thinking about getting involved with a network
marketing organization here in the UK (one of the most reputable
ones around as far as I can tell) in order to test out some ideas
I have about using my Internet marketing skills to generate
leads. I won’t go into details of which company I’m considering
at the moment because it isn’t important, and I might still
change my mind!
What I will say is that of all the many uses that I can think of
for the system that Google-1st teaches, traffic generation for
the purpose of feeding hot leads into a network marketing company
seems to be an ideal match.
Network marketing companies always give their people
‘personalized websites’ but then seem to me to fall short on
teaching really effective traffic generation techniques.
As Internet marketers, we know how to get traffic flowing by
dozens of simple strategies, but by far the fastest is to have
Google send all those hungry customers to you for free. And
Google-1st is entirely about turning on that particular tap
(faucet, for my US friends!)
In fact, I’m thinking of running the Google-1st system on a bunch
of keywords that apply to the particular company I’m considering
- before I even join it – to see just how hungry the traffic is
and how easy they will be to interest them in what the company is
offering.
Then, if they are as motivated to buy as I suspect they will be,
and if Google-1st does its job as I am certain it will, I’ll have
my flood of prospects flowing from day one!
To be honest, I’m not a big fan of the network marketing business
model – Delia and I have been burnt in the past – but this
company is so blue-chip and the marriage between what it will
take to succeed and what I know Google-1st can achieve is almost
too good to pass up.
But that’s just one application.
Another is to build a review site for a popular ClickBank product
that you can be an affiliate for, and use Google-1st to drive
loads of traffic at it.
For just a few hours work you can have a massive stream of
motivated traffic and a ClickBank money machine running on
autopilot.
Or what if you have an offline business with a website that
hardly anyone ever visits? There are millions of sites like that
around – built with the best of intentions, but with no clue as
to how to get people to view them.
Google-1st is perfect for that. Set it up and running for your
primary keywords and phrases and see your site’s traffic counter
come alive.
In fact, it is for just such a reason that Michael developed the
system in the first place – to drive massive, motivated traffic
to his offline business’ website.
I could go on, but I’m sure you get the picture.
This is the last reminder I will be writing about Google-1st. It
goes live on Sunday and at that time either the price will rise
or the product will be withdrawn from sale. Michael has yet to
decide. But either way, this is your chance to get in on a system
that is easy to follow, simple to put into practice and which
will bring an ongoing return on your investment for a long time
to come.
Don’t miss out!
