Greetings !
Sunny Sidcup has woken up to a rimy morning. For those of us who
love words, ‘rime’ is a particularly nice one. It describes that
glistening frost that is deposited by freezing fog. Hoar-frost is
another name for it, but I prefer rime. For no particular rhyme
or reason!
As it is cold and sunny, the glistening white sheen on the grass
and trees looks almost like semi-transparent snow - something
that the forecasters say may come later today.
My pond has frozen over - I just hope that the cats don’t go
skating - it isn’t that thick (but the cats are!)

Here is a quick, but important message for all the Kickstarters
who have bought Info Product Killer.
I have opened up a special forum for we IPKers to discuss our
successes, frustrations, ideas and thoughts. Working the IPK
system is hard (but rewarding) work and having the opportunity to
chat about what we are up to with other like-minded souls can
only be a useful and good thing.
The forum is private - only people given access by me can make or
read posts. And it is only available to people who bought IPK
though Kickstart.
So, if you are a Kickstart IPKer and would like to use the new
forum, here is what you must do:
First, go to http://kickstarttodayforum.com/ and either register
or if you are already registered, note your username.
Then send me an email with your proof of purchase and your forum
username and I will give you full access.
As an extra bonus I will also give you the side navigation
template I use on sites like http://www.leapfrogtag.info/
That’s it - there is no charge and no obligation. It is just
another Kickstart service that I hope you’ll take advantage of.
I strongly believe that online marketers stand a much better
chance of riding the recession in 2009, and that the Info Product
Killer system - http://www.urlnex.us/ipk - gives us a great
‘edge’. By working together and sharing ideas about what works
and what doesn’t, we can hone that edge into something really
sharp.
See you in the forum!

Yesterday evening I received the first booking for the January
30th London Lunch, so the ball has started rolling already!
If you’d like to get your name down on the list, please PayPal
the £30 to me at the usual address.

I had to laugh. After all the woes I’ve experienced with
LloydsTSB bank, they have today announced that they plan to do
more to help small businesses.
Hah! They could hardly do less!
Too little, too late LloydsTSB. As soon as my new account with
NatWest is properly open, I’m off - never to desire to cross your
threshold again.

This is for absolute newbie Internet marketers only.
If you are a complete novice at online marketing I want to hear
from you please.
I’m writing a new book with the working title “The Five Things
You Must Master Before You Can Make Your Fortune in Internet
Marketing” - okay, I know it needs work. It covers the things
that people who have a little experience take for granted, but
for complete beginners are huge obstacles.
The five things are written, but then it occurred to me that just
like when someone asks you “what have you forgotten”, I can’t
possibly know if five things covers it all because I’m not able
to remember everything that confused me when I was starting out.
Does that makes sense?
If so, please send me your list of things that confuse you to the
point of stopping you getting started. It might be processes that
you don’t ‘get’ or terms that you don’t understand or even
concepts that everyone else seems to accept and take for granted
but that mean nothing to you.
This isn’t a ‘how to make money’ book. It is more of a ‘how to
boil an egg’ one - covering the real basics that the more
advanced ‘how to’ books tend to gloss over.
I won’t tell you what my five points are yet - let’s see what
people send in. Who knows, my book may end up having to cover 10,
15 or 20 stumbling blocks!
Email me by replying to this edition of Kickstart.

On Friday, at the London Lunch, a friend of mine who buys very
few Internet marketing products (and likes even fewer) was raving
to me about a new ebook he’d just been reading that had inspired
him greatly. The book, he said, was called Blogcasting Blueprint
and was written by Kevin Brown.
By an extraordinary coincidence, Kevin Brown was also at the
London Lunch and we all had a nice chat.
I’ve now read Kevin’s book as well and can clearly see why my
friend was so enthusiastic. Blogcasting Blueprint is really very
good indeed.
The basic idea of the book is to help you generate a lot more
traffic and interest in your blogs by repurposing the content
into audio podcasts. Kevin explains exactly what all that means,
how to do it, what the ‘tricks and secrets’ are and how to easily
get started.
Kevin’s book is packed with clear screenshots that help explain
everything really well - even though he has a knack of writing
very straightforward text anyway. This is a very underused
technique right now and ripe for the taking. With more and more
people using iPhones and listening to podcasts and other audio
files, it is a great way to use content you have already written
to reach a whole new audience.
Blogcasting Blueprint’s launch price is also absurdly
inexpensive. In my opinion information as valuable as this should
be at least twice the price or even more.
Grab your copy of Blogcasting Blueprint before Kevin regains his
senses!

Today’s Power Thought
_____________________________________________________
Today’s thought is something I heard on the radio recently.
The world is becoming a pretty thankless place - people are so
self-obsessed that common decency and down-to- earth good manners
are in grave danger of extinction.
A few of us still like to uphold the standards that our parents
taught us, though. They cost nothing but can brighten the day of
the people around you.
Even more important, perhaps, is that just by acting in a polite
manner, you fill yourself up with an enormous amount of positive
energy.
The guy on the radio phoned in to say that he is a London taxi
driver who is sick to death of the rudeness and arrogance of
other drivers. His solution was not to become like them, but to
adopt a whole new tactic.
Every morning he creates an imaginary bag in the cab beside him.
He sees it there in his mind’s eye, empty, just waiting to be
filled.
But there is only one thing that can fit inside this imaginary
bag - thank yous.
As he drives around London, he makes a point of giving way to
other cars, waiting for pedestrians, and generally doing
everything he can to solicit a ‘thank- you’ from everyone he
comes into contact with (but without ACTUALLY asking directly for
one).
As his day wears on he keeps a mental tally of how many
thank-yous that he has got so that the next day he has a new
target to beat.
What a fantastic idea!
Imagine if we all went around trying to behave in a manner that
would make a stranger say thank you to us.
What a different society we would start to see emerging.

Las Vegas is often describes as the City of Neon, but by all
rights, Paris should be known as the Home of Neon.
It was on this day in 1910 that the first neon light was
displayed in Paris, France.
